Spa Day & Meet a kitten Day

Things are still going great with Maddie. She went and stayed with a temporary foster for about 2 weeks while I went out of town. She did great there. Adjusted well and gave her temp. foster mom no problems. Since she has been home we no longer use the crate. And at night she sleeps in our room now. I usually go to bed around midnight and she will sleep until about 7:30-8:00. I wake up first and once Im up she knows its time to get up too. She is still such a doll and such a cuddler. She loves to be with people and get loved on.

Today I was finally able to give her a bath. I typically do this in my bathtub, but I decided to do it in the driveway. With as hot as it as been I figured she would like the cooler water and just being outside. Of course we waited until it was a little cooler. She didnt seem to mind the bath at all. She got all sudsy and massaged. Rinsed and towel dried. Then a quick hyper, excited spurt, then crashed. But she is so shiny and soft now.

She also met a kitten today. A friend went out of town so we are watching her kitten that cant be more than 8 weeks old. Knowing Maddie, I know she is very tolerant of our cats. However, I thought maybe this tiny kitten would catch her interest. WRONG!!!! The pic below  was the first time Maddie met the kitty. I let her sniff her at first, which she could have cared less. So, for sake of a "cat tolerant" pic I set the kitty on Maddies bed. Maddie didnt even lift her head. LOL.

She is doing great and is so easily adjusted to all these situations. We LOVE having her around but there is no way I can have another animal. If there was, this sweet girl would no longer be available. So take advantage of my disadvantage and bring her home with you. Give her a soft bed, some love-a-rubs, food, water, and shelter and you will be hers for life.

Perfectly Wise (Maddie) has been with us for about 10+ days while her foster family have been on vacation.  She has done great!  Maddie is such a sweet dog.  She has had NO issues while she has been with us at all.  We have another (senior) Grey and a cat.  She has been great with them.  Maddie loves to walk!  Not long walks... just to get out and see things and sniff!  She does great on the walks too.  Maddie also loves food!  She gets the happiest at meal time.  Play bows, etc.  Maddie does great with stairs and using the bathroom in the back yard (fenced).  She has had no bathroom issues while here.  Now granted... I do let her out ever 3-4 hours during the day and she can go 5-7 hours at night before she goes out.  I have not crated her at all while she has been with me.  She sleeps on dog beds all day and even at night in our bedroom with my other GH.  She's a princess.  Please give Maddie a forever home today!!!... She really does deserve one!  She isn't a crazy dog at all!  She just wants to follow you around all day and sleep in-between the times.  And that's it.  She just wants a quiet home with a loving family to take her in and give her her own dog bed and food bowl!

Sweet baby girl wants you to bring her home!!!

Maddie is still doing wonderfully. We ventured upstairs the other night. She went up them and down them with no problem at all. She met the cats that stay up there....She hardly even noticed them. Even their hissing didn't phase her. She just kept on sniffing around and learning the place. She didnt even seem to notice herself in the mirrored closet doors. I can tell she will love following around her new owners. We have a gate up so my chihuahuas don't go up there, but when I go up there, even when Im not up there, she will put her feet on the first few steps like she wants to go check it out again. She will be very pleased to go back up there tonight for her bath. I'll update again after her bath so you will know how she does. She is also quite a smart little stinker. I was vacuuming the floors today, which didn't bother her either, and I stacked our two dog beds so I could get under them. Well she sees our grey sleep on the couch. So when our grey was sleeping in the one dog bed now, she found her way to the couch. Let me just say she has hardly moved. She definitely loves a soft place to lay. I didn't have the heart to move her cause she looked so comfortable, but this is her treat today. I won't continue to allow her on the couch only because I don't want to start any bad habits that her new home wouldn't want her to have.

Who could say no to this sweet face?? She cannot wait to meet her new family!!!

This little girl is such a doll!!!!

Meet Perfectly Wise, which she has been affectionately called Maddie!! This is one sweet little girl. She is calm, gentle, and an absolute doll to have around. She has been with us for almost a week now. She faces every new situation with caution and hesitation, but with just a little affirmation she moves forward with it. Our house can be busy and hectic at times so she had quite a bit to get used to. And she has done a very good job at it. The first few days she would stay in her crate, even with the door open, cause it was her little safe place. But now, especially once she found the dog beds and bones, she hardly even goes in the crate. Speaking of dog beds, she loves to get on the same bed as our greyhound and snuggle up.

She loves to be around everyone now. She loves to go outside with all her foster siblings. She loves to go for walks. She is AMAZINGLY gentle on the leash. She will walk at your speed no matter what it is. She loves her food. She patiently waits for you to feed her, then she dives right in. She goes into her crate very easily and she doesn't make a peep once she is in there. She gets very excited when new people come over. She will run up to them to see what they are all about. She has truly been so great to have around. She is so easy-going that you can hardly tell there is another dog in the house. She just goes with the flow of our everyday life. She is going to be a great companion for a very lucky family.
